I have been in BodETalk for 4 months, and in that time I have lost 57 pounds, and I am still losing. I simply would not have believed that someone over the age of 50 could still see results like this. I have struggled most of my life with weight, and have tried many other diet plans in the past, with various degrees of success. One time I lost over 100 pounds in a plan, but slowly gained much of it back. Other plans I have tried, I always felt that I was fighting myself and my natural inclinations. While I could lose weight in the past by depriving myself and self-discipline, as some point I just could not take being hungry all of the time, and I would revert back to my old habits, and the weight would come right back. BodETalk is so different, because you learn to enlist your body as your natural ally, not something to overcome. While it takes a bit of patience in the beginning (I was VERY skeptical in the beginning – if my employer hadn’t been hosting the class, I would have never gone back) it works! Once I started eating clean, nutritious food, I found I “knew” how much to eat (no weighing and measuring foods and tracking points for me). Once I tuned in, the weight has taken care of itself.

Bod E Talk and my BT Coach Nikki Kennedy were crucial elements in reclaiming my health. I finished the class about this time last year….what a game changer it was for me! If anyone is in the “thinking about it” stage, do this! When I started, I wasn’t really looking to lose weight. Of course I would be OK if I did lose weight, but it wasn’t my main reason for participating. I wanted to learn more about the food I eat and how it all affects me. There were a lot of eye opening moments for me. I became much more aware of how much mindless eating I did. And in the process, weight unexpectedly came off and I began enjoying exercising more.
